Agricultural Sector in Cambodia

Project Summary
Will the Earth have enough agricultural resources to provide food for an ever-expanding human population?

This exploration will strongly focus on rice sector and other involved components of agricultural sector in Cambodia. In this exploration, students will be let conduct a research engaging with the process of producing the rice and animals husbandry. We will find out how this sector impact the people’s income and Cambodian economy. We will also look at the yields formation in depth offered by conventional and modern farming and different farming techniques. Students will be equipped the present issues having influence over the development of agriculture in order to seek the solutions to remedy those. Not only studying the contents in class, but students will also have field trips to visit NGOs working on it and farmers. Last but not least, we will create a satisfactory documentary about agriculture in Cambodia to share with the world to get to know about it.

Project Outcome
After seven weeks over the course, students will be able to demonstrate the understandings of agricultural sector in Cambodia and how crucial it is to contribute to developing farmers’ and national economy growth. They will search and acquire more new ideas to enhance agriculture and get farmers good recommendation for improvement. Additionally, they will practice other skills such as experience outside campus site, documenting, photography, communication skill, presentation and research and development skill.

Algebra A

Name of Course: Algebra A

Days we Meet: Monday – Tuesday

Course Description: In our Advanced Enrichment we learned about Math. This Advanced Enrichment lasted really long and the students had a really hard time working on that. We learned the hard math by learning it step by step. There are many clever students in this class and all of them are very patient. Every day in our class the math got harder and harder but we got smarter as the time kept going. Sometimes we realized that the math that we had learned could be used in real life. The important things that we learned for the whole year were negative numbers, the Greatest Common Factors, linear equations, y=mx+b form or Slope-interception, parabolas, Quadratic formula/equation, etc. All of these math sections were very hard. It is something that people will think that it is hard because they did not try yet and for those people who try they will think it is easy. But for us here we do not think it was hard or easy we were just trying our best.

So this is who I am and what I’m living for. In the name of Chhoeu Chhoeun live in this country, I have the responsibility to change my country for a better. As a 15-year-old boy, learning and experience new things/knowledge while walking toward future follow the passion. Those, loving to help people in the community is what I always want to involve with, no matter what it’s hard or it’s a volunteer work.

Each step I took is how I can expose myself but those paths are slippery and I manage to balance it. To do it so, I have to discover for a deep understanding of who I am. I love music, original songwriting, playing music instruments(guitar, bass, and piano), all kinds of sports, community-related and most importantly I love to help people to have hope, keep dreaming, don’t give up and move forward in who they are.
